The 4 Foods You Should Be Eating Every Day

That’s right, another article telling you what you should be eating. The difference with this article is that I am going to make it nice and simple for you. No complicated recipes to follow with weird ingredients that are impossible to procure. Life is too short to waste our time reading over and over again how to look like a supermodel. What about people who like looking how they look. Maybe they have a couple of extra pounds, but they are happy and healthy – two essential elements for a great life.

So, I won’t lecture you on how to live your life. If you’re happy then you are already doing a great job. But, if you feel like you could be healthier, here are four foods that you should eat every day for a healthy boost. Throw them into your lunch or eat them as a standalone food – do whatever works best for you.

Spinach

It is not just Popeye that eats loads of spinach. You should be eating it too. This leafy green can go with pretty much anything – chuck it into pasta, stir-fries, or salads. You can even blend it up in a smoothie along with your favourite fruits and some coconut milk. You won’t be able to taste the spinach but you will get all of its nutrients. Spinach is known to be a powerful muscle-builder and can increase your sex-drive and prevent any sexual-related illnesses you might be faced with in your later years.

Yoghurt

Yoghurt is so easy to incorporate into your everyday diet and it can do you a lot of good. If you are going to add this to your diet make sure you are eating probiotic fat-free natural yoghurt. Probiotics are important for a healthy immune system. Eating it alone is best but if you need to spice it up a bit try dolloping it into a curry or mixing it into middle eastern dishes. For breakfast mix some berries into natural yoghurt for a healthy and refreshing start to the day. Yoghurt is also rich in calcium and protein, making it an all-round superfood.

Carrots

You might have heard someone once say they knew someone who ate too many carrots and turned orange. Well, this is not an old wives’ tale. This actually happens. Carrots are rich in carotenoids, which can reduce the risk of various different cancers as well as inflammatory conditions. Chop up some carrot sticks and dig them into hummus as a snack or throw some carrot slices into your stir-fry, curry or tray of roasted vegetables. It is easy and pleasurable to eat these delicious orange treats every day.

Walnuts

You know how everyone goes on about all the fatty acids in salmon? Well, walnuts actually contain even more of this omega-3. These nuts also contain polyphenols, which act as anti-inflammatories, and loads of protein. Bear in mind that walnuts also contain a lot of fat, but this is the good kind of fat. Toss a handful of walnuts into your porridge for breakfast or simply eat them as a snack at your desk when you feel peckish. In moderation, walnuts are a healthy addition to your everyday diet.
