If every knows who you are, it can be pretty hard to escape the fans and go on vacation. Fortunately, with fame comes enough money to go wherever you want. The vacation destinations of choice for the majority of the rich and famous definitely put your camping holiday in Cornwall to shame. Put away your caravan and think about luxury yachts, penthouse suites and private beaches. This is how the other half live. We might not be quite there yet but there’s certainly no harm in taking a bit of inspiration. So, where do celebrities go on vacation?

St Barts

When it comes to the ultimate beach paradise, there aren’t many places that can rival St Barts. A favourite with superstars Jay-Z and Beyoncé, this stunning island forms part of the French Caribbean and is known for its perfect beaches and uber-chilled vibe. Of course, it’s not all beach and bars – there is some fabulous nature to be explored on this island and wildlife to be spotted, including free-roaming iguanas.

Aspen, Colorado

There comes a time when all you want to do is ditch the city and hit the slopes. If you happen to be a celebrity with a bunch of cash to splash then the only place to go is Aspen. Mariah Carey, Nicole Scherzinger and Paris Hilton are just a few of the well-known names that have strapped on their skis here. The Little Nell is the renowned celeb haunt – mainly because it is the only 5* hotel in town!

Cabo San Lucas

This Mexican seaside resort is a hit with A-listers and not just because of the promise of eternal sunshine. The abundance of Michelin restaurants and roaring nightlife have been winning over celebrities for a while now. George Clooney even bought himself a villa here and Justin Timberlake shipped his friends out to Cabo for a bachelor party filled with golf and partying.

The Seychelles

If you are an international celebrity then privacy is usually right at top of your list when it comes to choosing a vacation destination. Fortunately, the Seychelles is perfect for being secluded but not isolated. It even has a roster of royal regulars, including Prince William and Kate Middleton. With shining water on all sides and cuisine to die for, there are definitely worse places to spend a couple of weeks.

Necker Island

Of course, no list of celebrity vacation hotspots would be complete without Necker Island. This Caribbean island was bought by multi-millionaire Richard Branson and has been transformed into a paradise of luxury and opulence. With gourmet cuisine, gorgeous suites and stretches of sublime beach to play with – this is the destination of lifetime. Unfortunately, at $27,000 a week it might be a while before we make it there.
